Hiker Code of Conduct on the Bridlewild Trails

For Everyone's Enjoyment, Please Follow This Code

  • Bridlewild trails are on a combination of public and Township land, on institutional property such as Waverly Heights, Natural Lands, various churches and synagogues, and on private property where residents live.
  • Please help us retain the good will of property owners by staying on the main trails.  Side trails and creeks are often on private property and not for trail users.
  • Respect the privacy of property owners. Do not walk up to homes or look in windows, or linger on private property.  Simply walk through on the trail.
  • Dogs must be on leash at all times on public and private property per Lower Merion Township Code #109-13.
  • Please clean up after your pet and place poop bags and litter in the receptacles.
  • Enjoy the the flowers, plants, and nature, but remove nothing from the trails
  • Bicycles and motor bikes not permitted.
  • The trails are randomly patrolled by Lower Merion officers, and citations will be issued for dogs off leash and other violations.

Thanks for respecting other hikers and the property owners along the way.
